Anne-Katherine, Our Patches is fluffy, too, but manages to get up there and not fall off. Not sure how she does it. *G* I'm just thankful that Layla can't get up there. *G*
I hope you like the Kyra Davis books. The one I have has a great first page! *G* I hope to get to it soon and the premise seems fabulous.

Tori, when cats can twist their body and prepare in time then yes, they usually land on their feet. I still worry.
I hear you on the rain and lack of it. *G* I'm selfish, though. I want it because my allergies are so bad this week I've felt dizzy and the drainage is driving me crazy.

Dru, It's funny how much the cats like to sit up on the bannister. But, it freaks me out every time they jump up there because I'm always afraid one day one will over-shoot the jump and hit the stairs down below.
As for the rain, my River Birch and Weeping Willow are both shedding leaves because it's been so dry. So, for that and allergy reasons I would welcome rain! *G*
The kids and Out-laws were only gone for a bit less than an hour. Seems the gnats were making it unpleasant to stay at the blackberry fields. But, we have about a quart (MIL split the gallon they picked) of fresh blackberries. I'm sure they'll be gone by tomorrow. *G*

I get nervous over my kitties, too. Two have fallen asleep on the back of the couch and rolled off. Scared all of us to death.
