Layla was content to laze about while the kids were working on their schoolwork the other day. Since I had my computer scooted to the edge of the table she couldn't nap in front of it. She decided to nap leaning against Son's lesson plan book instead. *G*
It's been a loooooong day. Chris tried to "forget" he had work to do this afternoon with my chair rail, I wouldn't let him get away with it. Before lunch I cleaned the outside of the kitchen cabinets with some Murphy's Oil citrus wood spray. It smelled lovely and did a good job of cleaning. We then cleared the furniture away from the walls so Chris could measure for the chair rail and I decided to take the rug we have in the kitchen outside and "beat it". I had forgotten how heavy that thing is! But, still did it. *G* After I brought it back in I headed upstairs to take care of laundry and ironing. Lots of both. Gah. Then arrived back downstairs in time to help Chris move the furniture back into place so that the wood filler for the nails could dry, we could get around in the kitchen and, you know, make dinner. *G* (Breakfast for dinner, yum. Son ate like a fiend! *G*) Tomorrow he's supposed to paint the chair rail and pick up one two more pieces because I liked it so much I want it in the hallway, too. *G* Eventually we'll pick a secondary color and paint the walls below the chair rail a different color than the upper walls.
And that's my day. It sounds short, but four loads of laundry and a stack of ironing take time, not to mention make it pretty warm! *G*
Btw, I need some advice. My skin is drying out at an alarming rate. I drink loads of water, so that's not it. We've used the heat a few times in the past week and I'm sure that has something to do with it. Here's the advice I need. Anyone know of a reasonably priced HYPO-ALLERGENIC lotion I can use? I am allergic to shea butter and lanolin so anything with those is out. Not only is my face peeling, the skin on my legs is itching so bad I am trying not to claw my skin. I have some Oil of Olay (supposedly hypo-allergenic and non-pore clogging which after using about 3 times last year left me with weird tiny red bumps. I used it ONCE this week and now I have those same bumps across my cheek. So please? Suggestions?
I DID get to read last night, just for a bit. I've almost finished the J.D. Robb book. It is a great read. I love her books. Really, really love her books. *G* I only have about 3 chapters left to finish and then I'll start on another of my library books. And no. I have no idea which will be next. *G*
I hope y'all had a Blessed and restful Sunday. I wish y'all a productive and stress free Monday. (Wish us luck, Chris is taking the day off to take care of a few more things. *G*)
